There are two great reasons to create lists on Facebook. First, lists allow you to monitor a particular group of friends in your news feed. For an example, let’s take a group I call “Client.” When I click on the Client list in the left column of my Facebook homepage, only updates from my Client list will display in my newsfeed. It’s a great way to keep track of the people who matter!
The second reason that lists are great is because by creating lists, you can target your updates to a specific list rather than all your Facebook friends.
Follow these instructions to create a Facebook list:
- Click the Home link on your Facebook page in the header in the upper right corner.
- Click the More link next to friends in the left column.
- Click Create a List.
Now you can search for your friends in the search bar at the top of the page, or you can add people from the List Suggestions that Facebook provides.
